Curriculum

Three areas of coursework will comprise the required courses for the OU PhD program with a nursing major. These areas include: Nursing Science Core (6), Research Methods Core (8), and Substantive (minor) Focus Area ( 3+, varies). OU dissertation requirements (12 credit minimum) also apply. Focus Area courses taken may be an established course or Special Studies in Nursing (N6990) offered in the specific area of a student’s research focus.
