Academic Programs - Undergraduate
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
OU-TCC Collaborative
The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center College of Nursing, in partnership with Tulsa Community College, unveiled the Collaborative BSN program in Fall 2006.
How it Works:
- Apply to and complete your 67 credit hours of BSN prerequisite coursework at Tulsa Community College.
- Apply to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Collaborative program in your second year of study.
- Complete your junior year of the OU Nursing program on campus at Tulsa Community College. Course credit and curriculum is administered by The University of Oklahoma. However, you continue to pay tuition and fees to Tulsa Community College (a significant financial savings!).
- Transfer to the OU-Tulsa Schusterman Center campus to complete your senior year of study. The course content, credit, and tuition and fees are then completely administered by The University of Oklahoma.
- Graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and take the state licensure examination to receive your RN license.
Why it Works:
- Increases admission opportunities to the BSN program.
- Students maintain high scholastic achievement while staying at their home campus during their first, and most intense, year of the nursing program.
- Significant financial savings for tuition and fees during the junior year of the program
