Continuing Education

The Department of Professional Development supports the vision, mission, and goals of the University of Oklahoma and the College of Nursing. Our mission is to develop and implement quality continuing education programs, provide faculty and staff orientation and career development, provide high quality programs that improve patient care and quality of teaching, develop nursing leaders, and support development of nurse researchers .

The focus of these evidence based programs will be Nursing Education Consortium programs, programs that address the health care concerns at state, national and international levels, and orientation and educational needs of the College’s faculty and staff.

Course formats will include online courses, special hybrid courses, and conferences and institutes.

The vision of the Department of Professional Development is to provide quality programs to support state, national, and international healthcare education.
