Hi, I'm Laci Jehl. I will help you with preparing for nursing school. I will also be your contact while you are in nursing school and can help with things such as enrollment. Dates to Remember

July 1, 2012	Fall 2012 Scholarship Deadline
Date TBD	Attend mandatory new student Orientation Orders due for Uniforms and Supplies Final date to submit: Immunizations Background Checks Drug Screen Insurance Cards Forms for these items can be found below
August 20, 2012	First Day of Class

Things you need to do now:

• Be sure to accept your offer of admission and submit your enrollment deposit at: www.ouhsc.edu/enrollmentdeposit
• Clinical 101: Preparing yourself for clinical rotations
  DUE BY July 1, 2012 (NO EXCEPTIONS)
• Background Checks. The Lawton/Duncan sites only require the OSBI Background Check. Students at these sites do not need to complete the National Background Check, only the OSBI.
• Drug Screen (refer to Drug Screen Policy) Must be renewed annually. Contact Laci-Jehl@ouhsc.edu.
  
• Insurance
• Health Form (refer to Health Form Instructions) TB & CPR must be renewed annually
• Hep B Waiver
• Childhood Tetanus Waiver
• Note: copies of immunizations & CPR card must be submitted to Sandra Wardell.
  Original records will not be copied or returned to the student.

• Complete FAFSA and apply for scholarships

• Review Lawton campus maps or Duncan campus map to find your way around campus.

Things to do at Orientation

• Print, complete and bring following forms with you to Orientation.
• Nursing Release Forms
• HSC Risk Policy
• Print, complete and bring your Enrollment Form
• Print, complete and bring Uniform & Supply orders
• Register for ONSA, see your campus chapter booth at orientation
• Textbooks (check in June for updates)
• Expected Expenses at Orientation

Things to do after orientation but before classes start

• Submit any remaining official transcripts to Admissions & Records at the Health Sciences Center.
  You will not be enrolled and financial aid will not be disbursed until final transcripts are received.
• Complete HIPAA Training online.
  Email or fax a copy of your completion certificate to Sandra Wardell at 580-591-8015.
  (You must have your OUHSC email account to complete HIPAA training).
  Note: Please keep a copy for your records. Submitted records cannot be copied.
• Get your Cameron Parking Pass and Cameron ID Card (needed first day of school)
