Graduation - San Diego Campus
Graduation in 3 steps:
- Application for Graduation
- Apply for Nursing License
- Register with the Testing Service
Licensure Process:
- Obtain fingerprints through LiveScan Process (fees vary by facility)
- Submit application to the California Board of Registered Nursing for your RN license by examination ($75 fee, plus charges for Interim Permit, if requested)
- Request transcripts from the OUHSC College of Nursing
- Request transcripts from all schools where you completed prerequisite courses. Transcripts should be sent directly to the California Board of Registered Nursing. A transcript request form is included in your licensure application (below)
- Register with the testing service (NCLEX) ($200)
- Graduate!
- Your degree will then be processed at the OU College of Nursing Oklahoma City campus. This process will take2-4 weeks.
- Your transcripts showing your BSN posted will then be forwarded to the California Board.
- The California Board will then release your ATT letter. It will come by email first, approximately 4-6 weeks following graduation.
- You can then call and schedule your date to take NCLEX.
Application for Graduation
This form will be prepared by the OUHSC Office of Admissions & Records and will be given to you by the office staff in San Diego.
Note: Your Major Code is 9203B
There is no fee to graduate.
Make sure to complete the transcript request form to have your official transcripts sent to the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Your application, fees, and fingerprint form should be submitted to the Board four months before the end of the program. Otherwise, submit your application package as soon as possible to avoid additional delays.

Graduation Holds
Ensure that you do not have any holds on your graduation that will slow your licensure!
