Scholarships & Awards

Through the generosity of many donors, the College of Nursing is able to offer numerous scholarships to our Nursing students each year.

Scholarships awarded through the College of Nursing are monetary scholarships and are applied to the student’s bursar account.  Any overpayment to the student’s bursar account will be refunded to the student.  Scholarships are awarded during the fall and spring semesters.

All scholarship applications received are reviewed by our scholarship committee.  Our committee is made up of faculty members, a representative from the financial aid office, and members of our community.

Each scholarship will have its own set of criteria which has been predetermined by the donor.  However, the College of Nursing has established the following criteria to be required for all Nursing scholarships:

• Must be admitted and enrolled in one of the College of Nursing programs
• Must have a FAFSA on file with the Office of Financial Aid.  Individuals who are not eligible for FAFSA completion are encouraged to contact the Student Affairs Office at 405-271-2428 ext. 49221. 

Starting this fall 2009, we are proud to announce our new online scholarship application.  There are many of our scholarships that can now be processed through this new application.  However, please make note that not all of our scholarships will be available through the online scholarship application.
