Scholarships & Awards

Through the generosity of many donors, the College of Nursing is able to offer numerous scholarships to our Nursing students each year.

Scholarships awarded through the College of Nursing are monetary scholarships and are applied to the students' OUHSC bursar account.  Any overpayment to the students' bursar account will be refunded to the student.  Scholarships are awarded during the fall and spring semesters.

All scholarship applications received are reviewed by our scholarship committee.  Our committee is made up of faculty members and a representative from the financial aid office.

Each scholarship will have its own set of criteria which has been predetermined by the donor.  However, the College of Nursing has established the following criteria to be required for all Nursing scholarships:

• Must be admitted to one of the OUHSC College of Nursing programs
  
• Expected to enroll in the term that the scholarship will be awarded
  
• Must have a FAFSA on file with the Office of Financial Aid by the scholarship deadline. When completing the FAFSA, please use the OUHSC school code 005889.  Individuals who are not eligible for FAFSA completion are encouraged to contact the Student Affairs Office at 405-271-1491 extension 49221 or by email at
  nursing-scholarships@ouhsc.edu.
