This one-day workshop helps labor and delivery nurses examine the evidence for labor support, develop or refresh labor support skills, and promote best practices for safe, satisfying and healthy birth.
These workshops are designed for nurse managers, midwives, staff nurses and other health care providers who care for women.
Upon completion of the program, the labor and delivery nurse will have: Increased confidence among participants that the supportive care they provide during labor and birth is evidence-based; Increased expertise and skills in providing labor support; Improved hospital performance on Joint Commission Perinatal Care Core Measures relating to Cesarean birth and exclusive breast milk feeding; Increased consumer satisfaction.
Attendees must sign-in, attend the entire workshop, and complete a post-workshop evaluation on site to receive 7.0 hours of CNE credit.
