DOCTORATE OF NURSING PRACTICE
The Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, invites applications for a Program Director in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice Program. This administrative Director assumes responsibility for providing leadership, guidance and direction for the DNP program. The Program Director will collaborate with the Associate Dean for Academic Administration and Graduate Education and other program faculty regarding the program content and presentation and tracking program outcomes. The Program Director will lead the development of an annual student recruitment plan, advisement, admission, and enrollment plan for the program. Applicants must have a doctorate in nursing. A Doctorate of Nursing Practice is preferred. All applicants must be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma and certification as an APRN is preferred but not required. A minimum of three years teaching experience is required, with one year in a post-baccalaureate program.
The College of Nursing has multiple relationships with community partners including but not limited to OU Medical Systems, Stephenson Cancer Center, Donald W. Reynolds Center for Geriatric Nursing Excellence, and oversees a Case Management program for a large network of Oklahoman’s receiving care through the state Advantage program. Applicants who are interested in developing a faculty/practice role are encouraged to include that interest in their application.
The College of Nursing is one of seven health-related colleges located at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. The campus is the state’s major educational resource for health professionals in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, public health and allied health. The Graduate College is the center of advanced study, research, and creative activity in the health sciences.
