The Power of Nursing Annual Luncheon

The Power of Nursing Annual Luncheon

We are pleased to invite you to join the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing in celebrating Oklahoma nurses at our Power of Nursing luncheon.  This annual event acknowledges the accomplishments and efforts of the extraordinary health care professionals in Oklahoma.  It also presents an opportunity for diverse organizations to gather together to network and recognize our common goals related to nursing and health care.  The Power of Nursing provides a venue to learn more about nurses who provide leadership and  model excellence in areas such as nursing education, outstanding practice at the beside, community service, evidence-based practice, and research.

The OU College of Nursing is in an exciting phase of growth directed at addressing critical shortages of Registered Nurses and nursing faculty.  By increasing enrollment of undergraduate nursing students at campuses throughout the state, expanding master’s programs and launching the state’s first PhD nursing program, we are rapidly responding to these issues.

Proceeds from The Power of Nursing luncheon will go toward advancing the education, research and practice missions of the OU College of Nursing.  You are invited to join us in these efforts designed to ensure the best possible healthcare for Oklahomans through your luncheon sponsorship.  Many sponsorship levels are available; the 2009 Sponsorship Agreement includes the benefits of each level.  Additionally, individual tickets will be available for purchase.

Please check back for the date and speaker information for the 2010 event.

As in the past, we will be recognizing accomplishments of Oklahoma nurses with an awards presentation at The Power of Nursing luncheon.  Award nomination forms will be available online this fall.
