The Power of Nursing Annual Luncheon

We are pleased to invite you to join the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing in celebrating Oklahoma nurses at our annual luncheon. This year’s event, formerly known as the “Honor the Nurse Leader Luncheon”, will debut a new name and a larger venue. Our speaker will be the OU visiting scholar, Loretta Sweet Jemmott, PhD, RN, FAAN, of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.

The OU College of Nursing is in an exciting phase of growth directed at addressing critical shortages of Registered Nurses and nursing faculty. By increasing enrollment of undergraduate nursing students at campuses throughout the state, expanding master’s programs and launching the state’s first PhD nursing program, we are rapidly responding to these issues.

Proceeds from The Power of Nursing luncheon will go toward advancing the education, research and practice missions of the OU College of Nursing. You are invited to join us in these efforts designed to ensure the best possible healthcare for Oklahomans through your luncheon sponsorship. As in the past, we will be recognizing accomplishments of Oklahoma nurses with an awards presentation at The Power of Nursing luncheon. Criteria for nomination will be announced this fall.
