Welcome to the Center for Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice (CNREBP) webpage at the OU College of Nursing! The Center was originally developed in 1995 as the Center for Clinical Nursing Research Utilization and Development as a joint partnership with select health care agencies in mid-state Oklahoma. In June 2006 the Center changed focus by reformatting the utilization aspects to encompass evidence-based practice. This webpage is designed to provide visitors with a description of the support and services that the Center provides with easily accessible links to helpful resources. We hope you will find this page to be useful to your research and practice. Read further to learn more about the OUCN's research emphasis areas and funding history.
The mission of the Center for Research and Evidence-Based Practice (CNREBP) is to facilitate the advancement of knowledge to promote health and improve nursing care. The Center supports research programs and scholarly activities of faculty with particular emphasis on research integrity, compassion, and excellence and extramural research funding. Support is also offered when requested by nurses engaged in research at nearby OU Hospitals and Clinics. In addition, the Center facilitates the research and external funding of graduate students.
