Masters - Graduation Requirements

Graduating student must meet the graduation requirements of their chosen leadership pathway.

Requirements for the degree must be completed within six years.

Comprehensive Examination Evaluation Criteria

The candidate's written and oral responses indicate clear and accurate evidence of:

  1. Integration of theories and concepts from the core courses, cognates, and other nursing courses.
  2. Logical sequence and organization of ideas.
  3. Descriptions of more than one point of view.
  4. The candidate's understanding of the complexities of the issues discussed in the examination.
  5. The candidate's understanding of the complexities of decision-making or innovation in a practice setting or community.
  6. Awareness of strategies necessary to work collaboratively with members of other disciplines.
  7. Candidate's identification of the limitations of one's own arguments or proposed actions.
  8. Data and sources of data for arguments or presentations.

The candidate's written a response indicates clear evidence of conventional business grammar.

The candidate clearly and accurately verbalizes responses to questions posed about the ideas contained in the written comprehensive examination.

In oral responses the candidate provides rational for positions taken and demonstrates an objective demeanor.
