This course, developed by the ediba Diabetes Center of Excellence, provides the most current information about the management of diabetes and hyperglycemia care to health care professionals. This course is primarily aimed at nurses but it is also appropriate for dieticians, pharmacists, social workers, physical therapists, physician assistants, physicians and others who care for clients with diabetes or stress-related hyperglycemia. A focus on inpatient concepts and management reflects the commitment of the ediba Diabetes Center of Excellence to improving outcomes for hospitalized patients with diabetes or hyperglycemia. Each section of this course builds on concepts from previous sections, leading the participant through a self-paced comprehensive knowledge base and thorough understanding of concepts.

Nurses: 7.0 Nursing Continuing Education Contact Hours
This continuing education certificate course is structured for 7 nursing continuing education contact hours of self-paced study. Upon completion of the course, participants will be awarded a continuing education certificate through the University of Oklahoma for 7 hours of continuing nursing education. The University of Oklahoma College of Nursing is approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the Colorado Nurse's Association, which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Dieticians:7.0 CPEU's Credentialing Agency: Oklahoma representative for the Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR). Registered Dietitians (RD) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTR) will receive 7.0 Continuing Professional Education Unites (CPEUs) for completion of this program.
