Clinical Assistant Professor in the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC). She worked 21 years at a local major hospital in many clinical areas (Med-surg, Transplant, Critical Care, PACU) and continued her nursing career in education, spending 15 years teaching in a small college nursing program prior to coming to OU College of Nursing, where she is teaching in her 10th year. She is faculty in multiple courses in the BSN, ABSN, and Degree Completion Programs. She has been involved in several student-focused studies and has given many presentations at local, regional, national, and international conferences.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma
- Master of Science in nursing education from Oklahoma Baptist University
- Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Science from Oklahoma City University.

Clinical/Research Interests:
- Dr Wainscott’s area of research interest is student learning and success. She is passionate about finding effective ways to help students learn. She works with students to develop study skills and test taking strategies.
