MSN Education Program Director
The current critical shortage of nurse educators has resulted in an abundance of career opportunities nationwide. The MSN in education track is designed to prepare academic nurse educators and professional staff development educators. This program of study is 32 credit hours and the post-master’s certificate is 14 credit hours of study including content and practice in both academic nursing education and professional staff development. The programs also include 320 hours of required teaching practicum activities that are included in three of the nursing education specialty courses.* For additional information about this program, please contact email@example.com.

Residency requirements: Due to federal regulations from the Department of Education, the College of Nursing currently accepts applications for its online master’s and doctoral degree programs from residents of the states participating in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA). A list of participating states can be found at: http://nc-sara.org/sara-states-institutions. Applicants are encouraged to check with their local State Boards of Nursing regarding any specific professional licensure requirements prior to applying or enrolling.
