Nurse Practitioner Faculty

The Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center seeks exceptional candidates for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program.

The college produces the largest number of nursing graduates in the state and, as a national leader in distance education, offers traditional and non-traditional programs at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels and a variety of post-masters certificates.  The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is one of only a few academic health centers in the nation with seven health professional Colleges: Allied Health, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Graduate College.  The successful candidate will have plentiful opportunities to facilitate interprofessional research and education.

This academic position requires teaching, research and/or scholarly activities, and offers opportunity for clinical practice. Primary teaching responsibilities will take place at the OUHSC Oklahoma City or Tulsa campus, but travel within the state will be required for student clinical site visits. Applicants must have a master’s degree or higher in nursing, with a doctorate preferred (PhD or DNP). All applicants must be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma and be nationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner, Family certification preferred. A minimum of two years teaching experience is required.  Rank, tenure, and salary are competitive and commensurate with professional background and experience.
