Dr. Jennifer Heck, PhD, RNC-NIC, CNE is an assistant professor and the ABSN track coordinator for the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She earned her PhD, MS, and BSN degrees from OU. Dr. Heck's Master degree major was Clinical Nurse Specialist - Maternity, and she earned certification as a neonatal critical care CNS in 2007. She earned NICU certification in 2002 and certified nurse educator in 2012. Dr. Heck is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the Midwest Nursing Research Society, the National League for Nursing, and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses. She has been an academician since 2006 and has served as a professional item writer and/or reviewer on many occasions. Dr. Heck reviews manuscripts for scholarly journals on a regular basis.
