Dr. Lewis has been at the University of Oklahoma HSC (OUHSC) since 2011 upon completing her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at OUHSC in 2015. She worked in the College of Medicine as faculty for the Department of Urology until 2023. Dr. Lewis then accepted a faculty role at the College of Nursing for OUHSC. Her clinical practice and research emphasis have been primarily in the field of urology, specifically transitional care for pediatric to adult health settings. Dr. Lewis has had numerous publications and presentations of her work on this subject, among other urological interests. She strives to work as an interdisciplinarian as a certified interprofessional educator, with her experience working with both nursing and medical professionals, including nursing and medical students, residents, and fellows. Dr. Lewis is a member of the American Urological Association APP Education and Membership committee as well as Research Chairperson for the Society of Nurses and Associates organizations. In the process of completing her additional certificate as a PMHNP at the University of Oklahoma.
