Dr. Katie Walker earned her BSN from Langston University in 1997, her MSN as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Acute Care from the University of Oklahoma in 2005, and her DNP from Missouri State University in 2018. She brings over 27 years of nursing experience, including 20 years as a CNS specializing in adult critical care, cardiology, and education. Her scholarly work, *The ABCDEF Bundle: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Improve ICU Outcomes*, focused on enhancing ICU care through structured rounds. She has served in roles spanning bedside care, systems improvement, protocol development, and academic instruction in evidence-based practice. Before joining the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center faculty in 2022, she led clinical education and RN residency programming at a regional acute care facility. Dr. Walker is an active member of the Oklahoma Nurses Association, the Oklahoma Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau in 2023.
