Dr. Leodoro J. Labrague has extensive teaching experience across the Philippines, the Sultanate of Oman, and the United States, spanning undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. He has taught undergraduate courses in nursing and healthcare administration, as well as graduate-level courses for MSN, DNP, and PhD students. Dr. Labrague’s program of research focuses on health systems and workforce factors that influence patient safety outcomes across care settings. Grounded in health systems research, his work examines how leadership behaviors, organizational environments, and care processes shape the quality and safety of healthcare delivery. A central focus of his current research is advancing the science of near-fall events among older adults, a common yet underrecognized adverse event with significant implications for injury prevention, care quality, and health system performance.
