Dr. Susan Bedwell is an Associate Professor in the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where she serves as the Director of the DNP Program and the Program Track Coordinator for the Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist program. She also holds a joint appointment with the OUHSC College of Medicine as Director for Quality Improvement for Neonatal-Perinatal Services at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital. With more than 36 years of nursing experience, Dr. Bedwell has led initiatives that translate research into clinical practice, improving outcomes for critically ill newborns through evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaboration. Her scholarship focuses on quality improvement, prevention of complications in preterm infants, and optimization of neonatal care. She has presented her work at over 40 national and international conferences and has authored multiple publications, advancing neonatal nursing practice, education, and quality improvement locally and internationally.
