Dr. Teresa Serratt is an Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing with over three decades of experience spanning critical care, health care administration, and nursing education. She earned her PhD in Nursing with a focus on Health Policy from the University of California, San Francisco, where she investigated the effects of California’s nurse-to-patient ratio legislation on staffing patterns.

Her scholarly work emphasizes the intersection of nursing workforce policy, health care delivery systems, and quality improvement. Dr. Serratt has served in numerous academic roles, including DNP Program Director at Boise State University and adjunct faculty at UCSF and the University of Nevada, Reno. She brings expertise in doctoral education, health policy, organizational leadership, and evidence-based practice.

Dr. Serratt is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented nationally on topics such as nurse staffing, policy advocacy, and innovative DNP education strategies. She is a long-time member of Sigma Theta Tau and has served in editorial and leadership roles for professional nursing organizations and journals.
