Tonie Metheny, DNP, MSN, RN, CNE, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing. She has over a decade of experience in undergraduate nursing education, with expertise in clinical instruction, faculty development, and nursing workforce initiatives. Dr. Metheny's scholarly interests include novice nurse and adjunct faculty transition, clinical teaching excellence, and inclusive, competence‑based nursing education. She is a Certified Nurse Educator and an active member of national and state nursing organizations. Dr. Metheny has received multiple teaching and academic excellence awards and has presented and published on topics related to nursing education, workforce development, and unconscious bias in healthcare. She brings a strong commitment to student success, safety, and professional formation to her teaching and leadership roles.
