Laurie Price, Associate Dean for Administration and Finance with the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing, is the 2017 OUHSC Regents’ Award Winner for Superior Staff at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
The OU Board of Regents established the award in 1988 to recognize outstanding contributions made by OU staff members whose job performance, service activities and dedication have enhanced the mission of the university. The award was presented at the OU Health Sciences Center Employee Recognition Event on April 28th.
Marcia M. Bennett, Vice Provost for Health Sciences with the OUHSC, praises Price for her expertise and strong work ethic. “Laurie interacts with units across the entire OUHCS campus and enjoys a well-deserved excellent reputation as a team player and one who is frequently sought to serve on important planning work groups.”
Mary Cotter-Lalli, Director of Sponsored Programs with the Office of Research Administration, cites Price’s dedication, skill and leadership on key university financial projects over the years including the lead role in the implementation of the PeopleSoft Financial Management project. “She truly believes in the mission of the university and cherishes her role in helping to accomplish that mission while maintaining the highest professional standards,” said Cotter-Lalli.
“Laurie has superb intellect, exceptional work ethic and commitment to her work and the students we serve,” said Lazelle Benefield, Dean of OU’s College of Nursing. “Ms. Price exemplifies the definition of a superior staff member and is highly deserving of this award.”
