University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing senior students Darryl Ogle and Sarah Livsey received a scholarship from the Duncan Regional Hospital Health Foundation.
Both Ogle and Livsey received the Evette LaParche Freeman Memorial Nursing Scholarship from DRH Health Foundation. Evette was an OU College of Nursing graduate. She was a captain in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. She was injured during her service and after many surgeries, unfortunately, passed away. Her parents, Hap and Alfred LaParche established this scholarship in her honor. Both Hap and Alfred have passed.
"The DRH Health Foundation is very grateful to our donors who establish scholarships which benefit the nursing students attending school on our campus. Mr. and Mrs. LaParche wished to honor their daughter, Evette, and help those working towards their nursing degrees. It was our honor to present scholarships to Sarah Livsey and Darryl Ogle" stated Cyndi Crook with DRH Health Foundation.
