Angela Mund DNP CRNA FAANA FAAN is a tenured Professor, a Fran E. and A. Earl Zeigler Endowed Chair in Nursing, and the OU inaugural Nurse Anesthesia Program Director. Dr Mund has extensive experience in academic leadership including serving as the DNAP Program Director at the Medical University of South Carolina for 10 years and as the MUSC Chair of the Department of Clinical Sciences, where she led an interprofessional team across 11 health professional divisions. She has been awarded HRSA Nurse Anesthesia Traineeship grants for over 10 years. Dr Mund is a frequently invited speaker at the state and national levels.

Dr. Mund has been active in nurse anesthesiology for over 20 years including serving as President of the Association of Veteran’s Affairs Nurse Anesthetists and the President of the South Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Dr Mund was the 2022-2023 President of the AANA.

She is a proud veteran of the US Army Nurse Corps. In 2022, she was appointed by the Secretary of Veteran’s Affairs to serve on the Veterans Administration Rural Health Advisory Committee.
