Dr. Nguyen is a nurse educator with over 20 years of clinical experience in the delivery of healthcare among pediatrics with complex medical needs. Nguyen teaches in the undergraduate and doctoral programs. Her teaching philosophy includes applying principles and theories that relate to adult learning and constructivism.
Dr. Nguyen is a nurse scientist with experience in secondary data analysis, ethnographic methodology, and population health. Her research focuses on the social and cultural context of chronic disease management among vulnerable populations with a particular emphasis on the use of technology to educate and support diabetes self-management.
