Dr. Konrad is an assistant professor teaching in both undergraduate and graduate programs. She has a B.S.N. from the University of Central Oklahoma, a master's in nursing education (M.S.) from The University of Oklahoma Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing, and a Ph.D. from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing in biobehavioral research. She is a certified registered nurse in inpatient obstetrics. She is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and a Fellow in the Academy of Certified Childbirth Educators. Her research includes community support to address maternal mortality, including doula work and labor support, and workforce issues surrounding maternal mortality. She is a member of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN), Sigma Theta Tau International, Lamaze International, the Midwest Nursing Research Society, the Oklahoma Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, the National League for Nursing, and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
