Clinical Assistant Professor and BSN Track Coordinator at The Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Tulsa. She obtained her associates and bachelors degrees prior to becoming a registered nurse in 1998.  She practiced as a monitor tech, RN, charge nurse, and manager in the Pediatric ICU at Saint Francis Tulsa before moving to Children's Medical Center of Dallas as an ICU float.  Stacy practiced as a Frisco ISD school nurse, primary care nurse for various pediatricians in Texas, and returned to Oklahoma to help open the first perioperative care unit in the new Children's Hospital at Saint Francis in 2007.  She taught in several universities in the Tulsa area as an adjunct before committing to the University of Oklahoma.  She is an MSN alumna of the University of Oklahoma and went on to earn her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Administration at Samford University. Dr. Frisbie is passionate about child health and advocacy, and strives to improve health outcomes in her community.  She has special interests in advocacy, child abuse, ACES research, community legislation and policy. Throughout her years of teaching, she has maintained clinical ties with St. Francis Children's Hospital, and continues to teach Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses to physicians, nurses, EMTs, and paramedics there. She enjoys developing relationships with students and interacting with faculty, administration, community leaders, K-12 school district personnel, and peers.
She is a member of Oklahoma Nurses Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, National League for Nurses, American Association of Colleges of Nursing, and the Society of Pediatric Nurses.
