I graduated from Loma Linda University with my BSN, and I completed my Masters Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at OU in 2006. I earned my Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2010 from University of Alabama, Birmingham, and started teaching in OU FNP program in 2011. As an APN, I have worked 15 years in a pediatric primary care setting and three years in a women's health setting. I speak Spanish fluently, and I love serving as a healthcare provider in local and international medical missions settings. My husband and I started an all-volunteer, free medical clinic for the uninsured population in rural southeast OK; I also serve as a volunteer provider in several other free clinics in the state. In my free time, I enjoy cycling.
