Dr. Megan Jester is a Clinical Assistant Professor with primary teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate traditional and accelerated nursing programs. She also serves as a mentor for senior capstone projects at the Stephenson School of Biomedical Engineering on the OU Norman campus. Dr. Jester’s clinical practice is in the areas of medical-surgical nursing, post-operative care, and mental health across the lifespan. Her research focuses on implementing integrative health interventions that examine autonomic influence through wearable devices. She is passionate about addressing health disparities and health inequities for children and adolescents in Oklahoma. Dr. Jester promotes a healthy mind-body connection by implementing mindfulness-based techniques with students as they prepare for the transition to new graduate practice. She maintains involvement with the Oklahoma Nurses Association and is a board-certified advanced holistic nurse with the American Holistic Nurses Association.
