Step One - Prepare

How to Prepare for a Tutoring Session 

• Attend all classes
• Complete all readings
• Review class slides and notes
• Complete homework to the best of your ability.
• Make a list of questions and/or content you would like to review at your tutoring session.
• Bring all materials to your tutoring session.
• Keep your appointment if you make one ahead of time.

What to Expect From a Tutoring Session

• Session will last 90 minutes 
•  Tutor will assist student to determine learning goals for the session
• Tutor and student will discuss how to approach learning the material
• Tutor and student will review content which may involve practice questions
• The tutoring session will end with the tutee reviewing the material that was covered in the tutoring session as well as an understanding of how they will approach learning the material in the future
• Student should expect to take ownership of their own learning

Step Two - Sign In

Please complete the Student Attendance Log each time a tutoring session is conducted. 

Step Three - Attend
