Rebecca Pierce, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, is an Instructor in the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC). She serves as the Accredited Provider Program Director for Continuing Education and is a certified nursing professional development specialist. Rebecca holds seven years of expertise in developing and managing educational content, onboarding processes, accredited continuing education programs, departmental in-service learnings, and online learning management systems. Her clinical background includes emergency medicine, home health, and procedural nursing.


Education:

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing, with a focus on nursing education, from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center's Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing.

Clinical/Research Interests:

Her primary area of interest is the lived experience of recurrent pregnancy loss and nursing interventions to support the transition to motherhood amid pregnancy loss. Two additional areas of her concentrated work include nursing professional development and interprofessional education. She is a Certified Nursing Professional Development Specialist with over 7 years of experience, consistently looking to build upon the inherent gifts of aspiring and current nursing professionals to help them achieve their personal and professional goals.
