Dr. Susan Dresser, PhD, MSN, APRN-CNS, CCRN, FCNS, is an Associate Professor and a Regents Professor at the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences. Since 2014 Dr. Dresser has taught in and served as the Track Coordinator of the MSN and DNP Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist programs. Dr. Dresser’s service and scholarly interest focuses on advanced practice nursing, specifically around clinical nurse specialist education, legislation, outcomes, and scope of practice. Her research interest centers on nursing surveillance, clinical judgment, and the processes and barriers to nurses' ability to provide early identification and response to indicators of acute patient deterioration
